Grainfather Blog - Week 101: Reiterated Mashing Revisited

 mashing

Welcome back to the Weekly Mash!

You may remember last year we covered the Chris Colby technique of reiterated mashing. This involves performing one mash and then performing a second mash, using the wort from the first as the liquor for the second. With this technique you can potentially create beers of huge ABV's as you reiterate two or even three times. If you missed the written blog you can view it here but for this weeks post, homebrewer and Grainfather user David Heath is showing us how the reiterated mash works to create an imperial stout. If you haven't seen David's videos yet, make sure to check out his YouTube channel as he regularly posts recipes, tips and tricks for brewing with the Grainfather!

As always, if you have any questions or comments feel free to use the comment section below or email us at info@grainfather.com
